In January 2020, Storm Gloria damaged the old railway bridge over the Osor stream. The bridge’s structure was undermined, causing some of its piers to collapse. As an emergency measure, a new footbridge was built with a single-span metal structure, designed to withstand a 500-year flood return period. The new metal lattice footbridge has a length of 50 meters and a width of 2.50 meters for pedestrians and cyclists.
Total length of the footbridge: 51.00 m
Clear passage width: 2.50 m
Free hydraulic section: 220 m² (48% improvement)
Construction budget: €410,476.67 (excluding VAT)
