The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) had a capacity to treat up to 432 m³/h (10,368 m³/day) of raw water and could supply a maximum of 47,000 equivalent inhabitants. The growth forecasts for Figueres led to an increase in the demand for drinking water. This increase created the need to expand the WTP’s capacity.
ABM drafted the construction project and took charge of the supervision of the works and health and safety coordination. The expansion has increased the capacity to 900 m³/h.
